Most Christians are a familiar with the story of the prodigal son.  But very few stop to think about the prodigal son’s brother.  He is the one that makes this story bittersweet.  So one son went away and forgot his father’s love, and wasted his inheritance on things that passed away and left him empty.  But the other son was just as lost.  He did all the right things, but he was an angry, selfish man.  He treated his loving father with the same disrespect his brother did.  He wasn’t living in his father’s grace, or will either.  He stayed home, but he didn’t let his father’s love really change him.
“I could hold on to who I am and never let You change me from the inside”
God has called us to let go of ourselves and truly experience Him.
Pray that He opens your heart today, cleanses you from your pride, and replaces it with a hunger for Him.
