“to take out of them a people for His name”

Acts 15:14

This verse comes after the apostles are arguing with the Pharisees about who the gospel should be taught to.  The Pharisees believed that the gospel shouldn’t be shared with anyone that was not Jewish or uncircumcised (vs.5).  But the truth that they had to proclaim is God’s salvation is for everyone.  Once the gospel is proclaimed, He can separate a group of people for His glory.  Its so comforting to know that the God that only looks at the heart and not the flesh- and when He looks at His children He sees us covered in His blood.
