“And we knelt down on the shore and prayed”

Acts 21:5

This verse is a great example of public prayer.  Prayer is a great tool to be used by Christians.  It can be a weapon, a comfort, and a gift all at once.  The bigger picture of this verse is exactly where the disciples chose to publically pray.  The shores in those days were crowded with fishermen, women washing clothes, and children.  Yet whatever onlookers watched the disciples, they were still not deterred from calling out to God.  They are plenty of opportunities we have as Christians to call upon the Lord publically- seize them.
