“As a dog returns to his vomit”
It’s a disgusting site to see a dog eat its own vomit. it is just as disgusting to Christ to see us commit the same sin. There is no reasonable explanation as to why dogs will go back to their own vomit even if there is fresh food for them. There is also no reasonable explanation as to why we go back to our “comfort” sin or secret sin when there is so much life for us in Christ. When we realize how low we can get as sinners we have two choices. We can continue in our sin, or we can look up to the Creator to remove the chains of this world.
