“My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast”
Steadfast, it means unwavering. David is in a cave hiding from Saul when he is writing this Psalm of praise. How many of us take the time when we are hurting, afraid, or stressed to praise and write our commitment to God? He is saying, almost to himself in assurance, that his heart will not be moved from God. It is rooted in Him, and no matter what, I will stand with Him. This verse can be an encouragement for us. It can also be a challenge- am I unwavering in the Lord? God I commit my life to You, may You plant me. May I stand unshakeable with You.
