2 Corinthians 12: 10

“For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Interpretation: This verse is not an excuse to not work hard or take a lazy path, or even be door mats for people to walk all over. Paul was a great laborer. He had a job that allowed him to support himself while he worked in ministry. He was an extremely hard worker. He pressed on through whatever circumstance, because his reward was Christ.

Application:  God is faithful to carry us through our difficult circumstances.  We each face different trials- Paul listed his.  But whatever the trial, when we rely on Christ, He will always fill us with His strength to carry on.  Pray for some of the people in your lives going through trials, and ask for the Lord to renew their spirit.
